There are three (3) types of FantasyGemz leagues to choose from. (Opal, Pearl, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, and Diamond). Basic leagues are based on a Head-to-Head scoring system. Exclusive league are based on a Total Point scoring system.

Basic leagues consists of 10 teams divided into two (2) divisions with five (5) teams in each division.

Exclusive leagues consists of one conference with of 5 teams.

You can choose either a Basic or Keeper league from each category.
Keeper Leagues

Owners keep their franchises all year round. Entry fees must be submitted for each season. Owners will be able to protect 8 (eight) "Franchise Players" from the previous Seasons (I & II). There will be a 12 round Veteran Draft at the beginning of each season.

Season I Cut Down List:
Protected List First Cut: Rosters cut from 25 to 15 by midnight on July 10
Protected List Final Cut: Rosters cut from 15 to 5 by midnight on July 12
The eight protected franchise players must consist of one player at each position.

Protected List First Cut: Rosters cut from 25 to 15 by midnight on November 1
Protected List Final Cut: Rosters cut from 15 to 5 by midnight on December 1
The eight protected franchise players must consist of one player at each position.
There are two types of entry fees (Basic and Exclusive). The entry fees per team are as follows:

*Keeper League Renewal Fee:

There are NO other costs per team, which means NO transaction fees. Just go to the join a league page and click on the "JOIN" button for the league you wish to join. Cash prizes winners will have their prizes transferred directly into the Credit or Debit card used at the time of registration. League entry fee payments are only refundable within 30 days of registration. Owners are only allowed to purchase one team per league.
Note: If your league is partially full 24 hours prior to your scheduled draft time, your league will be combined with another partially full league to form a complete league.
Each leagues draft will take place in the DRAFT WARROOM. Owners should try to arrive 10 minutes before their draft is scheduled to begin. The draft will not begin until the team with the first overall pick makes their selection. It is strongly suggested that you familiarize yourself with the preranking process before your draft actually begins. Each owner will have the opportunity to prerank for any round before and during the draft. We recommend preranking, because it speeds up the draft and enables owners to be prepared when it is their turn to draft.
Owners will select their players in a serpentine draft consisting of 25 rounds. Each owner will have one (1) minute per selection in each round. Existing Keeper leagues will hold a 15 round Veteran draft. In the Veteran Drafts, owners will have two (2) minutes per selection in each round. Veteran drafts will be non-serpentine, worst to first in each round. Veteran draft date & time will be determined by a majority vote of the existing owners.

When two owners agree upon a trade, it is immediately executed. If a trade is processed and completed, and a majority of the owners within that league (not including the owners involved in the trade) feel the trade is one sided, they must email baseballcommish@fantasygemz.com within 24 hours of the completion of the trade to voice their complaints. If a majority of the owners’ votes to veto the trade, the trade will be reversed retroactively.
Basic leagues owners will acquire their free agents on a first come first serve basis. Keeper league owners will acquire free agents via a waiver wire process. Keeper league free agency begins immediately following the veteran draft and continues thru to the end of the regular season. Existing keeper league free agency begins July 2 thru the end of the regular season.
Owners are allowed to place up to five (5) players on the Minor league squad and three (3) players on Injured Reserve (IR). Once a player is placed on IR, that player cannot be used during the current season.
FantasyGemz Fantasy Baseball is divided into two (2) seasons. Season I and Season II.
Season I

AWOL Owners
If an owner is AWOL, the Commissioner has the discretion to freeze
the owners franchise. Franchises that have been frozen by the Commissioner
can only be unfrozen by that franchises owner. A written explanation must be
submitted to the commissioner. If an explanation is not submitted by the
start of the following week's games, the Commissioner will manage the
franchise until a replacement owner is found. Commissioner owned franchises
are NOT eligible for cash prizes. Should a Commissioner owned franchise
become eligible to receive a cash prize, the prize will be divided evenly
amongst the remaining playoff franchises.

What type of leagues are there to choose from?
There are six (6) basic type of Gem leagues to choose from. Opal, Pearl, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, and Diamond. You can choose either a Basic or Keeper league in each category.
How do I get started joining a league?
click on the Join A League page and choose a league you would like to join. Then click on the PayPal™ button for that league to sign up. Within 24 hours your franchise number and password will be emailed to you once your payment is received.
How much does it cost to join a league?
Depending on the type of league you join, the cost for joining a league will range between $29.95 and $299. There are NO additional TRANSACTION FEES.
How much you can win depends on what type of league you join. Prizes at Fantasy Gemz range from $35 to a whopping $625.00.
How is the draft order decided?
The first round of the draft is determined randomly. The subsequent rounds follow a serpentine format. In a serpentine format, the order of teams reverses each round. The team with the first pick in the draft would draft first, the team with the second pick would draft second, and so on through the last pick in the round. In round 2, the team with the last pick in round 1 would pick first. While the team with the first pick in round 1 would pick last.
Example:
Round One: 4,1,3,2,5 (determined randomly)
Round Two: 5,2,3,1,4
Round Three: 4,1,3,2,5
Round Four: 5,2,3,1,4
And so on until the end of the draft.
